Absolut System, in partnership with CEA and CNRS, launches a program to develop a French cryogenics sector dedicated to quantum technologies.

On October 8, 2024, AS participated in the official launch of the CRYONEXT program, a strategic initiative in partnership with CEA and CNRS. This action plan aims to strengthen French expertise in high-performance cryogenics, a key element for the development of quantum technologies.

Three research and development projects are currently underway as part of this program:

  1. Cryostats for photonics in the 1.5K – 2K range:
These innovative cryostats aim to provide high-performance solutions for photonics applications, ensuring precise thermal control.

  2. 500mK high-power cryostats for semiconductors (CMOS):
This project focuses on creating cryostats capable of supporting high thermal loads, essential for quantum technologies based on CMOS semiconductors.

  3. Innovative milli-Kelvin temperature measurement:
The development of precise measurement technology at ultra-low temperatures is underway to ensure optimal control in cryogenic environments and meet the specific needs of quantum applications.

This project is the result of close collaboration with our partners at CEA and CNRS. AS would like to warmly thank all the teams involved for their commitment and expertise, which make this major technological advancement possible.

Together, we are contributing to the growth of the French cryogenics sector by fostering innovation and developing pioneering solutions for future technologies.
